We're on the search for the perfect venue(s) to please send us a message if you know a good club, pub or RSL that would make a great location for us to come and host the Quiz of the Year!!

Our first VIRTUAL Great British Pub Quiz took place on Zoom tonight in conjunction with the Northern Beaches Poms FB group!
A great success - 7 rounds, 60 questions, an hour and 40 mins of fun with prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. The perfect way to spend a Saturday lockdown night in!
A special shout out to the quizzers who came dressed in full Buckingham Palace guards outfits, incredible! And to those who donated prizes 👏🏽👏🏽

The Great British Pub Quiz: Christmas Edition! THANKS TO EVERYONE who came along to The Great British Pub Quiz last night - don't know about you but we're still in recovery! What a bloody great night it was! Giant Brussell Sprouts, a mince pie eating contest, spontaneous arm wrestles, Mr Bean, a live Christmas carol on the mic and an epic game of Play Your Cards Right!
We would love to hear what you thought of the event, please leave us a review on our page, it means a lot to us! Please tag your mates in the pics and post any videos or images you've got from the night!
All proceeds from the event go to Manly Life Savers Club who do such a brilliant job of keeping us all safe at the beach.

The idea to hold a Great British Pub Quiz in Sydney had been brewing in my mind for a year or two until I thought ‘sod it, let’s give it a go.’ I’ve lived in Australia for 8 years, and am very lucky and grateful to have my whole family here - my brother and sister have lived here for a bit longer than me, and my mum and dad emigrated in 2015.
I work as a TV producer, so I felt like I could get the event together with the help of a few friends - but the one thing I knew I needed more than anything was a host.
It needed to be someone British first and foremost - that much is obvious. I also needed someone who didn’t mind speaking to a large audience - and it would be a bonus if they had any sort of profile..... I couldnt think of anyone who fitted that brief, so started to look around at my loudest, most outgoing mates - maybe one of them could do it....
One morning, I was listening to NOVA FM when I heard a very familiar British accent - and found out that Greg Burns (formerly of Capital FM) had recently moved to Sydney to continue his hugely successful radio career. Interesting!!
I looked him up on Facebook. Luckily, working in TV has its perks and we had a few mutual friends in common. I added Greg and sent him a message.... would he be interested??? I waited. He took a few days to respond but then one lunchtime the message arrived in my inbox - “Totally up for this!!! Let me know when and where” -- ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!
The Great British Pub Quiz committee consists of five people. Although I’m related to two of them, they have all been carefully selected, and everyone brings something unique and special to the table.
DAN SHELDON - Dan is one of my best friends and an absolute brainbox. He has the closest thing I’ve witnessed to a photographic memory, and his attention to detail is incredible. I knew I needed him on the team. He proved to be an absolute whizz with getting prizes donated too - I couldnt have done it without him.
CLARE BASIRE - Clare is my best friend and a marketing genius. She has more enthusiasm in her little finger than most people have in their entire body. She’s got energy for days, and I knew she would help get the word out to people about the quiz, as well as bring tech support on the day!
GLENN CARLTON - My brother is a very optimistic guy with a can-do attitude and always pushes me forward when I need encouragement or reassurance. He was especially brilliant at liaising with the event venues, and also proved an excellent prize-sourcer.
KELLY CARLTON - My sister is my right-hand woman across the entire process, helping with questions, printing, logistics and the overall feel of the quiz. She was such an amazing help to me across the entire 3 months it took to set the GBPQ from start to finish.
