We are currently in Jervis Bay, NSW with Noel and Jenny who took us out to Bendalong Boat Harbour beach where stingrays come into the shallows and can be hand fed, an amazing experience.

After a fantastic time in Queensland we are back in NSW for a while catching up with Tea’s brother and sister-in-law and seeing some of the country we missed earlier. Thanks to everyone in Queensland for your hospitality. The Daintree, Winton and Dinosaurs, the Samurai museum, fantastic beaches and so much more just wonderful.

Our time in Queensland has pushed out our ferry trip to November. We foolishly thought we would be all done with Australia and be back home in August.
We just left Queensland and are touring NSW for a few weeks.
With thanks to Ed and Rosa, the Gorgeous Fi, Jake and Val, Andrew and Sharon for your hospitality along the way. If we missed you this trip, we will see you on lap 2🩷

My usual follow on from Tea’s post with a bunch of photos. The Daintree was amazing.

The Daintree is all you imagine it to be. Tall trees, birds, crocodiles, cassowaries, snakes and beaches.
We’ve had long walks through rainforest and in the sand, lovely ice creams and river cruises.
See you next time.

We’ve had the best of times in Cairns. The weather has been so good we’ve had the bikes out most days. I continue to remain well and the boyz have adjusted to van life so all is calm.
It’s amazing how many southern friends we’ve seen up here, from Whyalla and Tassie.
With grateful hearts, we have enjoyed long chats with friends from all over the country too. Retirement slows down and you finally get to reconnect.

Its been a minute since we’ve updated.
Since leaving Booyal, we have moved north stopping at some beautiful places along the way.
We spent a long 6 days in Airlie Beach while I slept and recovered from pneumonia.
I’ve had my final round of chemo now and with an MRI due at the end of the month, it’s been a tumultuous time. It’s a mind game, this disease.
We are currently in Cairns, sightseeing. Green Island delivered, the ocean washed those blues away. We are back on the bikes and enjoying life again.
