On thursday my son and I attended a workshop provided by Local Land services and Port Macquarie council bio security officers on w**d biosecurity, w**d control options , and w**d management plans.

LLS where kind enough to print off and laminate a poster size map of Snakes valley farm to aid us in w**d control and project planning.

Alot of this was a refresher from my chemical spraying courses, But offered an insight to new resources and information to better help us on the farm and with current and future clients.

As always, it was a pleasure to meet and socialise with other people in the Agricultural industry from various different areas.

Started the month off great with this boundary colorbond fence.
Definitely an improvement on the privacy.

Helped pick up, check off and deliver colorbond materials, but as far as unloading he isnt the best helper 😂

We purchased a small breeding herd of goats with a handsome buck to help with w**ds and bushland as we make way for other plans.

We will be selling kids in the future straight from the farm or as meat goats.

Its an exciting new adventure for 2026 and beyond.

Started off this morning off strong, collected, transported, and successfully delivered a young Bull locally for a client. 🐂
We cant move large numbers in a rush, but we can still transport livestock and small animals around locally for you.

TAKE A BREATH — HERE’S WHAT ACTUALLY HAPPENS NEXT

I’m still receiving a lot of messages, and I understand why.

The last week was rushed, emotional, and deliberately framed as an emergency.
Now that the bill has passed both houses, it’s important to be honest about what that “emergency” really was.

If this were a genuine, immediate terror response, an emergency switch would have been flicked.

It wasn’t — because it can’t be.
Nothing changes overnight.

What we saw was political urgency, not operational reality. The timing alone exposed how flawed this so-called terror bill was from the outset — smoke and mirrors, exactly as many of us said many times.

Here’s what actually happens next in NSW:
• The bill still requires Royal Assent
• It must then be formally commenced (usually by proclamation)
• Detailed regulations have to be written
• NSW Police / the Fi****ms Registry must implement it
• Transitional and grace periods should be applied

That process takes months, not days. In many cases, up to a year. Because of that, I need to be clear on something else as well.

Right now, nobody can responsibly answer individual questions about specific rifles, models, caps, exemptions, or future compliance requirements. Those details live in regulations that do not exist yet. Anyone claiming to have definitive answers at this stage is largely guessing.

We’re also now in the Christmas / New Year shutdown period. Government departments are skeleton-staffed. There is no emergency lever being pulled this week, despite the fear campaign used to rush this through.

So please — slow up a little.
Spend time with your family and friends.
Go shooting.
Go hunting.
Do what you enjoy, responsibly and lawfully.

This fight is not over. It has plenty of steam left. And we will rally when required — and where it actually counts.

Calm, informed pressure beats panic every time.
