Releasing Australia’s fuel RESERVES was the right move, and credit to Anthony Albanese for taking that step.
But let’s be clear… it means nothing if the price at the bowser doesn’t come down.
Right now small trucking businesses across Australia are hanging on by a thread. Owner-drivers and family operators don’t have the financial power that the big transport corporations do.
If diesel stays this high, the small guys will be forced to park their trucks.
And when small trucking companies disappear, the entire country pays the price.
Releasing reserves was the first step.
Now we need to see fuel prices come down. Australia’s truckies deserve better.
