We were recently up in Airlie Beach completing a Wesmar service on a 72 Hampton, on dismantle we found the previous company who serviced the system did not used genuine Wesmar parts.

The main shaft sleeves were made from the incorrect material & also machined to the incorrect dimensions which resulted in sea water premature failure of the lower seals & excessive wear in the upper components.

Regular completion of scheduled maintenance on your stabiliser system is critical to ensuring safe and reliable operations. As demonstrated in the video, this vessel has missed its scheduled maintenance intervals, resulting in excessive movement across multiple system components.

This condition has led to a knocking sound during fin operations and presents a safety concern, as the stabiliser fins are operating erratically. The excessive movement affects the sensor accuracy, causing incorrect readings from the fin position sensor and further impacting system performance.

With a quick diagnostics, we have the new parts on order to get the vessel back operational.

33mtr Ferretti ABT Trac Star upgrade project ✨

All the new Trac Link electronic system has been installed along with the new ABT Trac hydraulic components which consist of:
The STAR 400vac electrical motor & VFD, hydraulic tank & oil cooler, high pressure manifold, dual manifolds, hydraulic return blocks, accumulator tank & the cooling pump.

Thank you to Custom Fluid Power for suppling the new main engine PTO pumps, the new bow / stern thruster hydraulic motors spec'd by ABT Trac.
Custom Fluid Power also manufactured & fitted all our new hydraulic hoses through the complete vessel.

33mtr Ferretti ABT Trac Star upgrade project ✨

With the actuators all fitted, the cofferdams could be built and fibreglassed into place. Once the fibreglassing was completed we were able to finish installing the hydraulic components, hydraulic hoses & the sound deadening.

The ABT Trac bow and stern thruster legs have had a rebuild and are ready for docking.

The vessel has now returned to the water, once other remaining works has been completed we can complete our sea trials and commissioning.

Wesmar stabiliser recently completed on this Selene Classic Explorer 60.

The service consist of replacing all actuator & fin bearings, new seal kits & a full inspection of the remaining system.

6 year ABT Trac service completed on the Horizon Yacht.

The service consist of all new seals, new cylinder & actuator bearings, re-tensioning main shaft bearings, new hydraulic cylinders, re-sealing locking pin cylinders, new hydraulic oil / filters, new anodes throughout and more.

The new 440 Actuators fitted before Christmas.
The new 20x stabiliser fins dummy fitted so the vessels manager and owner could see the comparison to the old system.

Last week seen BMA down in Sydney. ✈️

First stop was Bobbin Head marina on a E65 Horizon to diagnose an ABT Trac stabiliser fault, with a quick diagnostics we got the customer up and running again.

Second stop was Jones Bay Superyacht marina on a 35mtr Sunseeker to complete an in water Stabiliser spherical bearing change out and main shaft re-tension.
