Dress up to impress!!! 👗👔Today many residents in the village attended the Melbourne Cup lunch organized by the Social Club. Everyone was dressed up for the occasion and enjoyed their lunch time. 🥗🍗🧁🍰Are people having good luck today?☺️🍀🍀

Time to add some colours to the summer! Today we had the Portofino coming to our village and held a fashion parade in the community centre. Thanks our Social Club for arranging such a wonderful event for the ladies in our village. And special thanks to our beautiful models Rhondda, Von and Elva!

Merry Christmas in July🎄🎄🎄🧑‍🎄🧑‍🎄🧑‍🎄Today we held the roast pork lunch at the Bowling Green with the theme of Christmas in July. It’s been so great to see our residents wearing their Christmas outfits!

Last Friday the Social Club organised a Mystery Coach Tour for residents. The residents were taken to the Currumbin RSL Club, where they had pre-ordered their meal from the menu, so they were very excited when they arrived and a delicious meal was waiting for them.

On the way home, they enjoyed a stop off at Yatala Pies to stock up their freezers at home.

Another wonderful day trip was had by all.

On Sunday, the Social Club held a very successful Market Day! Stalls included gardening, baked items, groceries, craft, a white elephant stall, clothing, shoes, handbags, jewellery and a popular multi draw raffle. There was also a café on the new bowling green that was enjoyed by many. All goods were donated, and the funds raised went towards the Social Club activities. Lots of planning and hard work by the team of ladies ensured it was a huge success.

Last week the residents enjoyed a bus trip to Toowoomba to see “The Carnival of Flowers”.
The day started off with morning tea in the park before walking around the home of the 2021 winner of best residential gardens, exploring some beautiful parks, and finally visiting the Japanese garden. Before heading home, the residents enjoyed a fabulous lunch and a cheeky beverage at Federal House.
The residents had a wonderful day and cannot wait to see next year!

Last month, the residents enjoyed a visit from Merciful Servants Au
The team brought their families and together enjoyed morning tea and a BBQ. It was great to see the residents have such a wonderful day!

On Tuesday, the fortnightly men’s morning took place in the community centre. The residents enjoyed tea and coffee, yummy snacks, and good conversation.
The gents had a blast and cannot wait for the next one!

Last week the Carseldine Gardens residents enjoyed a visit from Merciful Servants Au, a Brisbane based organisation which aim to help those most in need.

Grade 12 students from the Islam school came and shared stories and insight into their culture over a delish morning tea.

The residents were absolutely delighted about the visit and had a great time!

On Saturday afternoon the residents attended a Trivia Night. There was a roast chicken dinner, cheesecake and a fruit platter served throughout the evening. Prizes were also handed out throughout the night for funny jokes! Congratulations to the winning team, “Eggheads” for their win and “We’re Just Guessing” as runner up!
