We have been very quiet of late due to a lengthy and ongoing recovery from a serious injury. However we recently completed a pre-sale detail on Jordan’s fine example of a Haines Signature 1750BR.

Coming to us being heavily oxidised and needing more than bit of love, we completed a full gelcoat restoration, from 1500 grit wet sanding through to a refined polish finish and coated in Starke Hyperhold Pro ceramic hybrid sealant. In addition we also polished all stainless, cleaned and conditioned vinyl interior, perspex restoration and completed a chemical stain removal to the tannin staining below the waterline.

A new trophy made for the Sports Fishing Club of Tasmania consisting of a CNC cut, Myrtle Swordfish on a live edge Celery Top backing came up looking amazing. With our own large format CNC nearing commissioning we are looking forward to doing many more precision cut projects including EVA boat decking.

We have been a little quite due to being incredibly busy with both business and family commitments. We have been so thrilled to have been involved in the design and fabrication of a new festival and market setup for our friends at just in time for Dark M**o. The brief, a new two piece bar setup with shelving, workbench with cutout for ice trays, and a servery bar at the front. These have been clad in beautiful marine ply with a matt finish and film faces ply workbenches and shelves.
The exciting part was a suspended “meth lab” inspired, suspended cocktail dispensing structure. This was made to carry 4, 27lt flasks and finished to give the dilapidated impression Stu wanted. We don’t just do boats so feel free to reach out any of your fabrication needs and we will see if we can help.

WE ARE MOVING! Today we received the keys for our new home and have started moving in and making it the Aquacare Hub!

Bare with us for the next week or so whilst we settle in, in between working on ongoing jobs, but you’ll now find us at 5/8 Cessna Way, Cambridge. We are lucky enough to be amongst some great businesses including our friend Jack at Hobart Marine Fabrication who can look after all things Stainless and Alloy for your pride and joy!

Many people think boats are toys, or things that form a part of a hobby, but in many cases they are far more than that. George came to us wanting to restore the family boat to its former glory. This boat was purchased new by George’s grandfather in 1986 and was in perfect structural condition but needed a cosmetic makeover. We sprayed the exterior in 2pac, re-gelcoated the interior and made some minor modifications. We also did electrical and general fitout to accompany the new Mercury 60CT fitted by Channel Marine. Thanks George for trusting us with your boat and we hope it serves you well for years to come!
