📍 Tom Price, Pilbara WA

Known as the “Top Town in WA”, Tom Price sits 747m above sea level on the edge of the Hamersley Range.
Built on iron ore, the iconic Pilbara town is home to the Mount Tom Price mine, operated by mining giant Rio Tinto — just 5km out of town.

🏕️ We stayed at Tom Price Tourist park, used it as our base before heading into Karijini National Park, did our food shop / fuel top ups etc.

it’s not all red dirt and mining trucks…
Tom Price is the perfect base to explore…
• Karijini National Park
• Millstream Chichester National Park
• Wittenoom
• Mount Nameless

The 4WD track up Mount Nameless is a must do…those views over the red valley were breathtaking BUT it’s definitely a 4x4 track, decent rocks and steep inclines and descents, was a fun track and the views at sunset 🙌🏻🌅

🏕️ paid $74 p/n powered site - we had to book 8 weeks in advance to get in on a Friday for burger night which is the main night you go for, $20 a burger, dancing, bonfire, live music and icecream truck.
🍕Thursdays they had pizza night & live music. ☕️ Cafe onsite for the famous chunky steak pie and Bullara scones with jam and cream - sooo bloody good!

🛻 We did the 4x4 track on the property to the water, was a fun drive and kids hunted for mud crabs.

What a bloody unreal part of OZ!
We absolutely loved Exmouth and all the beautiful wonders it had to offer!
From our all time bucket list swim with whale sharks to pub crawling the town on bikes, it was by far a definite highlight for us!

How to do everything Exmouth 👇👇
🐳 Swim with whale sharks - book early, worth every cent, we went with Ningaloo Blue in season from May to Sept

🌅 Charles Knife Canyon - pack drinks and nibbles and head upto the Canyon on sunset it was unreal - one of the best we have experienced

📍Charles Knife Canyon - Exmouth WA
The Charles Knife Road turn off is 22km (20 minute drive) south of Exmouth. The winding road drive up to the top of the range is amazing, with spectacular views of the rugged terrain of Cape Range National Park and Exmouth Gulf. We pack drinks and nibbles and headed upto the Canyon on sunset it was unreal - one of the best we have experienced 🌅🍻🍷
