Many hands make light work! ✨

Today we had a very special helper join the crew… Grandad enlisted his grandson Simon to lend a hand cleaning the buses after their trips, all whilst singing the wheels in the bus go round n round 🧽🫧
We’re a small community bus service powered by volunteers, and it’s moments like these that remind us what community is all about ❤️
A big thank you to Simon for rolling up his sleeves and helping out – you’re a superstar! 🌟
Who knows… we might have a future volunteer in the making 😉

🚒❤️ Proud to Support Our Local Heroes ❤️🚒
Coastal Villages Community Buses was proud to stand alongside our incredible Warneet–Blind Bight Fire Brigade to get them home from the recent bushfires in Longford.
It’s in times like these that the strength of our local community truly shines — neighbours helping neighbours, volunteers stepping up, and everyone pitching in where they can.

Whilst there have been some retirements from the Committee of Management of Coastal Villages Buses, we’re delighted to say some wonderful locals from our beautiful communities have stepped up. We warmly welcome Chris as incoming President, Naomi as Secretary, Darlene as Treasurer and Craig as Vice President. They, along with ongoing members Trish, Ken, Con and Neil and Norm will ensure that the wonderful service continues. Congratulations to all on the 2026 Committee and thank you for volunteering your talents and time.

Yesterday’s Annual General Meeting was held at Tooradin Sports Club. Members of the Committee and their partners were delighted to welcome Cr. Jennifer Dizon and Kylie, and Fiyaz from Bendigo Bank’s Pearcedale and Tooradin branches and Sonia, Executive Officer.
It was a function with mixed emotions. It was a wonderful celebration of yet another very successful year of operation but, sadly, it was also the end of an era.
We farewelled Mary Crynes (Treasurer since 2007) and Louise McPherson (Booking Officer since 2010) from the Committee.
To acknowledge the amazing work that both these ladies have done, we have named a bus after each of them. So keep your eyes open for “Lou” and “Mary” on the roads. We wish them both better health and lots of happiness ahead.
Also retiring was Jennie Toyne. Whilst Jennie is retiring as Secretary, a position she’s held since 2013, she will still be involved as her husband Neil has been appointed as the new Booking Officer.
So if you need a bus to go on an adventure, to attend an event or your or your kid’s sports team needs transport to a match, give Neil a call on 0447 321 652 to make a booking for one of our 12 seater vehicles.
At $110 a day for a private hire or $80 for a not-for-profit group, it’s a great way to get your group out and about. Anyone on a full licence and 25 years of age or older can drive.

Yay! We have upgraded our oldest bus that had travelled 300,106 kms to this bright, shiny new one. It’s just been badged up by our wonderful sponsor, Tooradin & Coastal Villages Branch, Bendigo Bank, and is ready to be hired out along with the 2 other buses in our fleet.
We’ll be at the Coastal Communities Festival at Blind Bight Foreshore 11.00 - 3.00 next Saturday 29th March so come and have a chat to us about your hiring requirements or phone Louise, our Booking Officer, on 0447 321 652

At our recent AGM we were sad to say goodbye to 2 valued Committee members, Des and Charlie. Des has been on the Committee since it's inception in 2006 and was one of our initial Booking Officers. Charlie has given 6 valuable years as a member. They will both be missed and we wish them all the very best for the future.
