Hi GRC I have a idea that could potential save you & the local Agnes Water Rate payers millions of dollars each & every year, forever, You spent over $42 million on water supply in total over your entire regional area in the 2022-2023 budget, with future annual forecasts only growing, The Problem I see in my area is this, -50% of the local population in Agnes Water already is self reliant on providing there own water supply, they live out on acreage & therefore don't have access to town water, leaving the other 50% or residence currently living on approx 1500 town properties, 1 in 4 of my Agnes town neighbors has a drinkable bore on there site, 6 out 10 of my neighbors don't seam to access the water service from 1 year to the next, 9 out of 10 residence in my area have existing water tanks & or a bore, I've spent $10k alone on water rates since 2012 & never taken a drop. My idea is simple, -Decommission 90% of the local water network, -Only supply town water to the commercial development sites, larger capacity venues, fire hydrant network, place like Jeffery crt & or were required or requested, -All New residence are "once again" required to install water tanks on site, -Subsidies water tank upgrades & installation to the 25%? of existing residence who will be effected by this proposed change, -maybe subsidies a local water provider who already has a water extraction lic & truck, -there are hundreds of bores in the area, If your neighbor has one just ask "hey mate for $100 can I run the hose over our fence to my tank for the day"? -Educate the people on being more water wise, please note we would still need a local water network with local employees.
