We hear you.
You said, ‘How can a pot, a desk organiser, a bag or a pair of earring cost this much?’
Well… because it was not made by a robot named Kevin in a giant factory.
It was made by an artisan for 2-3 days, who wove it whilst humming, discussing neighbourhood gossip, probably whilst looking after their little kids.
Natural fibres, human hands, zero shortcuts.
And once each piece is finished, it takes a very long holiday:
Packed carefully, travelling thousands of kilometres from the most often far flung villages in the Philippines to Europe — by ship, by truck, by humans who also deserve fair pay and sleep.
Handmade things take time.
And time is priceless — unlike Kevin, who works for free.
