Have you ever craved ice chips when your iron is low, or chocolate when your magnesium is low?
I think it’s that same natural craving to heal us that brings forth the desire to vacation.
You know when you’re on vacation and you start looking for homes to buy because you just don’t want the feeling to end. We have all been there…
It’s our bodies way of saying to slow down and smell the roses.
The need for work/life balance is real.
For years I would kill myself working 60-70 hours a week with no end in sight. I mean who am I kidding I still work 60 to 70 hours but now I balance that with travel which is my go to “peace” to balance out the scale.
How do you balance out the scales of work/life in your own personal life?

Sweden just turned vacation into medicine. The country’s tourism board launched “The Swedish Prescription” — a program letting doctors prescribe travel for mental and physical wellbeing.
Backed by research from Karolinska Institutet, the initiative promotes nature and cultural therapies — from forest walks and cold plunges to sauna sessions, fika breaks, and stargazing.
Patients can even download a “prescription” for their doctor to sign, though trips aren’t covered by insurance — it’s all about prevention, not reimbursement.
