π¦πͺ π¦πͺ π¦πͺ I am appealing to our clients and all travelers currently in the UAE, to PLEASE take the time and read this with attention. π¦πͺ π¦πͺ π¦πͺ
1οΈβ£ WHAT UAE IMMIGRATION ACTUALLY ANNOUNCED:
According to the notice reported by UAE Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security and reported by Khaleej Times:
Because of the regional conflict and airspace closures, UAE immigration temporarily decided:
β
Visitors who overstayed because they could not fly out will NOT be fined
PROVIDED they are leaving the UAE or regularizing their visa status.
In other words, the DUBAI Immigration is showing flexibility because flights were cancelled.

2οΈβ£ What DOV TRAVEL is trying to communicate with our clients, who are currently in overstay:
SITUATION A: Client EXITS the UAE
If the person exits the UAE, immigration will not charge the overstay fine.
β Overstay fine waived at the airport.
________________________________________
SITUATION B: Client Applies For A Visa Extension
If the client applies for an inside-country extension, immigration also waives the overstay fine up to when the Extension was issued.
β Clients still pay the Visa Extension Fee
This is not a fine, it is the cost of a new 30 Day INSIDE-COUNTRY EXTENSION

SITATION C: π΄ Client Does Nothing π΄
If the person:
β’ β Does not leave the UAE, and
β’ β Does not apply for an Inside-country Extension
π΄THE SYSTEM WILL TREAT THEM AS A NORMAL OVERSTAYER. π΄
β‘οΈ Fines will eventually apply.
That is why we are WARNING our clients about overstay.
Please note that we are not FORCING you to extend, but we are legally obliged to inform you of the consequences, should you ignore our communications or that of other agents offering the same service.

3οΈβ£ Why visa-holders are debating this:
The general public is misunderstanding the announcement.
They think:
β βImmigration said there are NO fines, SO I CAN STAY FOR FREE, YAYYY!β β
But the reality is:
π« Immigration did NOT give free extra stay.
They only waived the overstay fine caused by flight disruptions.
The visitor still must either:
π‘ 1. Leave the UAE
OR
π‘ 2. Apply for an Inside-country Extension, even if they are already in overstay.

β
Why DOV Travel is ADVISING the public and specifically our clients, to LEGALIZE THEIR STAY:
Because if a person:
π΄ Stays with an Expired Visa
π΄ Without extension
π΄ And without proof of travel disruption
The Immigration System could show their Visa-information as:
β Overstay violation
β Possible Absconding Flag in the system.
Agents are merely trying to avoid that risk.

5οΈβ£ SUMMARY - THE SIMPLE EXPLANATION TO UAE TOURIST VISA HOLDERS:
Due to regional Flight disruptions, UAE Immigration has temporarily waived overstay fines for visitors who were unable to leave the country on time.
However, visitors must still REGULARIZE their status by either:
π‘ 1. Exit / Leave the UAE
OR
π‘ 2. Apply for an Inside-country Extension, even if they are already in overstay.
π’ THE WAIVER REMOVES THE PENALTY, but it DOES NOT GRANT FREE ADDITIONAL DAYS ON YOUR VISA.
________________________________________
β
No fine when exiting
β
No fine when applying for extension
β But remaining in the UAE without action may still result in penalties later

β‘οΈ My honest opinion as someone who works with UAE visas on a daily basis:
This announcement was badly communicated, and many agents across Dubai are currently having the exact same confusion.

This applies to all cases in which the person was unable to leave the country, including visitors holding visit visas, tourist visas, or exit permits, as well as residents who had cancelled their residency permits, preparing for departure
