Fixed twice. Broken again. If that sounds familiar, you already know the problem.
Most “fixes” only kill the symptom. Swap the sensor, reset the alarm, hand the boat back. Six months later the same fault code shows up on a different watch, and it becomes someone else’s problem to explain to the owner.
We’ve seen boats with three separate repair jobs logged for one fault in a single year. Three invoices. Zero root cause.
Our process is slower on day one and cheaper for the next five years: trace the fault back to where it actually started before anyone signs off on the job. Sometimes that means telling a client “not yet” on a repair that could technically be closed out by lunchtime.
Fixed once. Stays fixed. That’s the whole philosophy.
Save this for the next time someone tells you it’s “just a sensor issue.”
